Berenice Winery – the young star of the Plovdiv wine scene
Berenice Winery is a young, family-owned project that started from a small winery, where the love for wine grew into a family endeavor. It was founded by Veselina and Ivan Nedelchevi, who, together with their daughters, are fully committed to the mission of showcasing an exceptional micro-region in Western Thrace - the Parvenets region.
The first wines appeared in 2021, and the technologist Zdravko Trendafilov joined the team, whose experience and experimental spirit give character to the brand. The beginning of 2024 marks a new stage - they are harvesting the first crop in their own winery.
The vineyards of "Berenice" are located in the village of Parvenets, where they grow about 2 hectares of Merlot and Mavrud, and for the white wines, they select grapes from established vineyards in the region, which provide freshness, minerality and elegance in the bottle.
The name "Berenice" comes from an ancient priestess of Demeter - a symbol of fertility, female strength and multifaceted nature. It also reflects the philosophy of the winery: that each wine should carry energy, sensuality and elegance. The modern design labels emphasize the contemporary spirit of the brand, which speaks the language of young, curious and active wine connoisseurs.
