Dimitrovi Winery – Mavrud from Asenovgrad
Dimitrovi Winery is a small family winery established in 2019 in Asenovgrad with the initial idea of exporting Bulgarian wines to Turkey. Today they cultivate their own vineyards, dominated by the emblematic Mavrud variety of the region, and offer boutique series of only 300 to 3,000 bottles, prepared with attention, passion and minimal intervention.
Here everything starts from the grapes – over 40-year-old Mavrud vines, and the wines age in both new and used oak barrels (Bulgarian and French), as well as in stainless steel vessels, which brings a more measured, balanced style. Production is focused on natural methods: without additives, with gentle vinification, with every stage of the process carefully monitored.
Particularly captivating is the Amortentia brand, named after the magical love potion in the book "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". The name – a symbol of "powerful surge of passion and addiction" – captures the spirit of the wines: emotional, intriguing, leaving a lasting impression.
Although they do not offer wine tourism, every bottle from Dimitrovi is a message from the vineyards of Asenovgrad – small and personal, but filled with character and meaning.
