Dzhinvira Winery – when the VINEYARD is your home address

At the foothills of the Rhodope Mountains, near the village of Brestovitsa – renowned for its vineyard estates and local wine and dessert grape varieties, lies Dzhinvira Winery. A place where the land and people have been connected through wine for centuries, and today the tradition continues with new inspiration and a modern face.
The history of the Dzhingarov family is deeply intertwined with viticulture. As early as 1940, great-grandfather Georgi Dzhingarov registered a company for exporting grapes, fruits, and wine. After a long pause, in 1991 the family revived their path, gathering the small scattered pieces of land and began making the first plantings with new vines near Brestovitsa, and in 2018 created the family winery "Dzhinvira".
Their own vineyards are planted on terroir used since Thracian times, as evidenced by the numerous golden treasures discovered near the area depicting viticultural and winemaking scenes, as well as huge stone slabs on which grapes were processed. What distinguishes their plantings is that they grow the vines low to the ground to extract warmth and minerals from the soil. This method gives the grapes a rich and distinctive taste.

Under the Thracian Rider brand, inspired by the image of the Thracian horseman discovered near the vineyards, Dzhinvira Winery produces small series wines – nine varieties from eight grape types, including Mavrud, Rubin, Muscat of Alexandria, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. Their first wine from Muscat of Alexandria quickly gained popularity, and the winery's rosé has already been distinguished with gold medals. The vinification is gentle – grapes are hand-picked and processed by gravity without pressing, using only the finest 30-40% of the juice.
During their visit to the winery, tourists can stroll among the vineyards, where local beliefs tell that the land itself chooses its owners. They can feel the connection between antiquity and the present day. In the winery, they will learn about the entire journey of wine – from grape to bottle – and will taste a selection of wines paired with homemade appetizers and bread. The tastings are accompanied by stories that turn the encounter into an opportunity to immerse yourself not only in the taste, but also in the spirit of Brestovitsa.
