Topolovo Winery – The WINGED Wine Spirit of the Rhodopes

Nestled in the foothills of the Rhodopes, in the village of Topolovo, situated in a picturesque area with clean air, fertile soils, and a mild climate, lies the small Topolovo Winery. Established in 2018 by the Chorbadzhiev family, it currently processes around 30 tons of grapes.
They work with local varieties such as Mavrud, Rubin, Pamid, and Dimyat, with a mission to popularize them through their wines. They also produce excellent wines from international varieties like Riesling, Rkatsiteli, and Merlot, but what sets the winery apart is its Cabernet Sauvignon from 50-year-old vineyards.
The wines produced bear the distinctive mark of the terroir – density, aromatic complexity, and freshness, which come from the unique combination of mountain and plain climate, spontaneous fermentations, and minimal wine processing. The wines are offered in two series - RANGS and Wings, the latter inspired by their daughter's childhood drawing, which also becomes the label for the series.

In addition to production, the winery also develops wine tourism, currently by appointment. Guests can enjoy tastings in the authentic atmosphere of a family winery, sample local products paired with selected wines, and experience the harmony between tradition and nature. The proximity to natural and cultural landmarks, such as the Thracian sanctuary Belintash, makes Topolovo Winery a great stop for travelers and lovers of authentic experiences.
